March is National Tick Awareness Month!
One thing to learn with ticks is that they can be active all year long!
Any day that is 4 degrees Celsius or warmer they can be active.
Ticks are found in almost all areas of Canada.
Our recommendation to help reduce the impact of ticks and the diseases they spread is to do three steps: daily checking, vaccinate your dog for Lyme and use a preventative product.
We are seeing many more positive cases of Lyme and other tick-borne disease.
We are now recommending a 4DX test for dogs with annual exams or if presenting with symptoms and in for a sick exam.
