We don't always need to post warnings about extreme heat in early June but we do this year. People should not leave pets or children in the car. Line ups due to Covid19 restrictions can make shopping longer than other years. Please be aware and leave pets at home and have fresh water available. If walking your dog try to avoid the hottest part of the day and avoid hot pavement or sidewalks as they could burn their foot pads.
We are introducing Beth, who is doing her work placement and is our new summer student. Beth is taking a Veterinary Assistant course through Animal Behavioral College and needs to complete 100 hours via a work placement in order to finish her course. Beth is also doing 8 weeks here through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Beth has a number of pets, including two rabbits that we got to meet last week when they came in for pedicures. Starting June 2, 2021 we will be able to unlock our doors once again. We will still need to limit the number of clients in the waiting area to 3 people. We can still offer curbside service to anyone who would prefer that. We need to rely on people to let us know if they are feeling sick so that we can do curbside or reschedule.
