Covid 19 update January 5, 2022

We are still operating with curbside service and locked doors.

This makes everything take longer than normal and is frustrating for all of us but it is what we must do at this time.

We are experiencing much more than normal volume of phone calls and emails.

If you are in need of a precription refill, food order or OTC item please either call ahead 902 542 3422 or email us @ wolfvilleah@eastlink.ca with your requests.

Someone will contact you when things are ready for payment and pick up.

We are accepting e-transfers for payment using our email address or VISA or Mastercard over the phone.

If you are unable to do payments this way please let us know and we will try to do another option.

Currently there are many items that are out of stock or on back order, which is out of our control.

Please give lots of notice if you are in need of something. There are many steps involved with prescription refills and we only have so much time per day to do refills as the rest of the time the medical staff is either in surgery, seeing patients or dealing with urgent patient care.


Things may not always happen as quickly as you may like but try to understand that we are dealing with a huge increase in patients and requests and do our best to refill normal prescriptions within 1-2 business days.

Summit orders from the compounding pharmacy still require at least a week's notice.


With regard to emergency services: We share our on call emergency services with 2 other animal hospitals. Normal procedure is that if you have a pet emergency up to 30 minutes prior to closing time for any given day, you will be directed to call the hospital that is on call. We do not always have the staffing ability to remain after hours but we do always have an option for our clients with a pet emergency.


With regard to regular business hours posted on Google: Regular business hours posted on Google may not be accurate for any given day. Sometimes circumstances occur that cause things to change very quickly and we then try to clearly post on the website and our Facebook page if we need to change our hours.

This could happen due to stormy weather or a variety of reasons including Covid related issues.

Please watch our website or Facebook page for updates as sometimes things can change quickly.


While everyone may not agree with all of our descions, please know that we are doing our best to keep all of our staff as safe as possible so that we can remain here to provide health care for our many clients and their pets. There has been a huge increase in the number of clients and patients during this pandemic and we are dealing with all of this extra volume as best we can.

We are all tired and frustrated and wish this pandemic was over but the least we can do is be kind and understanding.
